Early Colt Government Model Semi-Automatic Pistol, #C6623, .45 ACP cal., 5'' barrel, blue finish, factory checkered walnut grips, with one early lanyard loop two-tone keyhole magazine and special period ghost ring flip-up rear sight. Shipped to Mrs. Powell Fauntleroy, Sept. 8, 1914, as a wedding gift for her husband. (See Goddard, ''The Government Model'', page 256.) Condition is near excellent retaining approx. 94% thinning and toning blue, with circular scratches from slide stop to frame and into slide.
