Early Brescian Snaphance flintlock pistol with fancy pierced steel and elaborate chiseled mounts with barrel marked Lazzari Cominaz. The pistol measures 17 ½” overall with 11” barrel and was reduced in size during period of use (probably originally 15” to 16” overall). The top jaw is missing but otherwise all original parts. The forend shows a repair of wood done long ago and extends 4 ½” but retaining original metal work around the muzzle. The mounts are finely pierced and the butt cap and the trigger guard are chiseled. The overall condition is very good with light cleaning and some breaks, small losses and repairs to the stock. A good candidate for a slight restoration. Est.: $1,400-$2,800.
