Offered in this lot we have a collection of early Native American trade knives originating from the late 1800's to the early 2900's. This collection consists of four trade knives, one Russell trade knife with the other three unmarked. The knives show steel blades with hard wood grips. The Russell Green River Works knife shows a Buffalo Skinner pattern blade with a metal guard towards the front of the grip. The guard is marked "Russell" with the grip marked in faded lettering "Hantover ~". The knives show good condition overall with some wear due to age and use. The largest knife measures 14" long with a 8 3/4" long blade and the smallest knife measures 6 1/2" long with a 3" long blade.
