Early 1950's Marlin Model 39A Lever Action Rifle, #K8153, .22 S-L-LR cal., 24'' ''JM'' marked barrel, blue finish, oil finished pistol-grip walnut stock with fluted comb, black composition Marlin buttplate with white spacer. Sights include a hooded front sight with brass bead and a notched elevator rear sight. Mfg'd 1953. Overall this rifle rates as very good with approx. 85%-90% blue. Barrel shows moderate toning and has thinned along the top edge. Wood with scattered small handling marks and shallow scratches; left rear corner of forend with a small chip.
