You are bidding on a Retsch & Company Porcelain Platter from the early 1900's.
The Plattter bears the RW Bavaria Backstamps which was registered in 1899. The company is still in existence today in Wunsiedel Germany.
The platter is 10 1/2 inches from handle tip to handle tip and 10 inches wide.
This plate is in excellent condition and was hung as a wallcharger by the estate for years and years.
The plate is handpainted and transfer. The blue and gold is handpainted, the floral design is transfer ware.
