In this lot we offer for your bidding pleasure a pair of Chinese hand carved figural resin statues originating from the early 1900's. The first piece displays a Chinese man fighting a Dragon. The statue is on a black pedestal base and is quite detailed with the artists mark across the back. The man is bare to the waist and has a long Queue and beard and mustache. The man is using a sword of Dadao style, to battle a small but long classical type Chinese dragon. The second statue is larger and of a woman with four birds the woman is dresses and has her hair done in a traditional Ming dynasty style. The woman has a bird on each shoulder and one by her hand that are small birds with very long tail feathers by the woman's feet is a crane. The statue is on a small black stand. The statue with stand measures 20 1/2" tall and 6" at its widest. The statue of the man is 12 1/2" tall with base included and 4 1/2 at it widest point.
