E.J. Churchill utility XXV easy opening model 12 gauge; double barrel S x S shotgun with box lock action and auto ejectors, serial #5959. The barrels measure 25" in length and gun shows a straight style English stockwith thick hard rubber pad added. The stock measures 13-1/4" to the end of the wood, 14-3/8" to the end of the thick pad. The gun shows fine scroll engraving, double triggers, beaver tail fore end and remains in near fine condition with 90-95% original blue and case hardening. The stocks are near fine with crisp checkering. The gun locks tight and shows a little use. The left barrel is full choked (.28) and the rightbarrel is modified choked (.18). The stock shows a 2-1/2' drop at the heel and 1-7/8" drop at the comb. The left barrel shows .33 thickness and right barrel shows .26 thickness. An attractive English double. From the Robert E.
