E.J. Churchill Premier best quality XXV double barrel, 12 gauge shotgun with full side locks, 25" barrels in English luggage type case, serial #7344 (Note: consecutive serial number to prior lot and numbered "2"in gold on release lever) shows 25" barrel choked modified to improved cyl on right (.20), full left (.40) with nitro proofs for 2-3/4" loads with 1-1/4 ounce shot. The barrels show a raised hand filled rib andstock measures 14" to the end of checkered wood butt. Barrels are .30 thickness left barrel and .29 thickness right barrel. The stock shows 14" to end of checkered wood butt with a2-1/2" drop at heel and 1-1/2"drop atcomb. No appreciable cast. There is a "G" inlay in the belly of the stock and name "Galvin" on top of lid. The gun is in fine to excellent condition showing some minor use with 98-99% original blue and case hardening and excellent original wood showing just some minor handling. The bores are also excellent and this Churchill has seen just a little use. From Robert E. Petersen Estate. Est.;$9,000-$18,000.
