Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program Stallion Service Auction
Terms & Conditions
The Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program (PBRIP) was developed to bridge the gap between barrel
racers who run Paints and the American Paint Horse Association by making it easier for barrel racers
to be a part of APHA without having to attend traditional breed shows. PBRIP brings the breed to you
at barrel racing events nationwide by adding money to the pot specifically for those enrolled in the
program.
The Annual PBRIP Stallion Service Auction will begin on January 2, 2015 and end on March 31, 2014 with auction information
provided on the website at pbrip.com and the live auction at horseauctionslive.com. Proceeds will be used to sponsor APHA registered
horses competing in barrel racing events. PBRIP will apply funds as bonus money/sidepots to existing barrel races throughout the
calendar year at the discretion of APHA and the PBRIP committee.
The Auction will be listed on the PBRIP website, pbrip.com.
A. Each stallion’s service will be sold at auction to the highest bidder. The bidding will start at one-half the annual advertised fee or
$300, whichever is greater. The donor of the service may require special breeding considerations (mare requirements), however,
no chute/farm fees are allowed.
B. The successful bidder of a stallion service must use the breeding during the current breeding season. All fees associated with
boarding, mare care, collection and shipped semen charges are between the successful bidder and the stallion owners. The
APHA and PBRIP are not responsible for any other business conducted between the stallion owner and purchaser of the
breeding.
C. The mare owner shall make all the necessary arrangements with the stallion owner as to when the mare will arrive for breeding or
make arrangements for the shipping of semen. Stallion owners have the right to refuse any mare. Mare owner must make the
mare available for breeding during the stallion owner’s normal breeding season or may risk forfeiture of all monies paid and
breeding rights. Mare must be halter broke and fit for breeding.
D. In the event that death should occur to the stallion or he becomes non-serviceable before the mare is bred, the stallion service
auction fee shall be refunded to the buyer. If a stallion is sold or leased before the mare is settled in foal, contract is still binding
unless stallion moves outside a 500 mile radius from the original advertised location or the new buyer refuses to honor the
contract. In such case, the purchaser of the service may have the option to request a refund.
RULES AND CONDITIONS:
A. Auction will be handled by Horseauctionslive.com
B. The bidding will start at one-half the advertised fee or a minimum of $300, whichever is greater. Highest bids will win the breeding.
C. All stallion services are sold in concurrence with the conditions and procedures of the farm at which the stallion stands.
RELEASE FROM WARRANTY:

by any other means of interpretation in connection with this agreement. It is expressly understood that PBRIP is acting only as an agent
