Dragoon size percussion revolver, marked on right side of frame "K.K.P. Maschin Fabrik Innsbruck". The left side of the frame is marked patent 1842. The revolver measures 12-1/2" overall with 5-1/4" barrel ofapproximately .44 cal. The 6-shot cylinder is single action revolved and the pistol shows a large dragoon size grip. The condition is good to very good with light to moderate scattered pitting and erosion; goodmarkings, good grips, generally good overall with 2 frame screws marred. This revolver was made between the time Colt manufactured the Paterson and before the Walker. A direct competitor to Colt, not really a Brevette as the manufacturer possessed its own patent, which must have been a subject of controversy as the bored-through cylinder revolving around a central axis was preceded by Colt.
