Desperado VDL is a very promising horse. He has a beautiful type, lots of scope at the jump, very good take off and is very careful.
Sire: Zirocco Blue is a son of Mr.Blue, who was successful in Grand Prix, Nation Cups and World Cup classes. He sired top jumpers like Plot Blue, Sapphire B and Simon. Zirocco Blue is a modern type stallion and shows lots of potential for the top sport. He jumps with a lot of scope, great take off and technique and is very careful. With rider Jur Vrieling he is one of the most notable young stallions in Holland at the moment.
Grandsire: Indoctro won the USEF Award for Sire of the Year for jumpers in the USA. He is a very valuable jumper breeding stallion, recognized all over the world. He has proven him self over and over again as father of world class horses as Casadora, Indigo, Don Porfirio, Picolien Zeldenrust. As Grandfather you can find him in horses like Utasha SFN and Take Off.
Dam: Mother Uzamieka has also produced the approved KWPN Stallion Bugatti VDL, a very talented 6 year old stallion. Her mother is the famous mare Aziemieka. She is the mother of the approved stallions and international jumpers Everest, Glennridge and Arkansas VDL. She is also the mother of international jumping horses Lely, North Gammon and Jetzetro. Another daughter of Aziemieka is the European mare champion Helena, who is mother of the Grand Prix jumper Southwind VDL.
Damline Grandsire: Silvano, who was started in jumping competitions by Bert Romp and Henk Nooren before going on to success in Italy with Giorgi Nutti, placing in a number of World Cup qualifiers. In 1985 they were 2nd in Milan, 5th in Brussels, and 8th in Geneva. Silvano is by Le Mexico. Despite his jumping success, Silvano was little used by the breeders, but mares by him have produced many competitors and three famous stallions: Democraat, Glennridge and Heartbreaker.
