Desirable original Sharps Model 1874 Sporting rifle, .50 cal., massive 32” extra heavy Bridgeport, Conn. octagon barrel marked “Old Reliable”, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks with checkered steel butt plate,standard sights, #157102 on both the receiver and on underside of barrel. This gun is in overall fine to excellent condition showing approx. 85% muted original blue finish on the barrel with approx. 45% original case colors on the receiver with balance gone to a silvery and brown tone; very good bore, crisp action and markings including a “70” on the right side barrel flat near the breech and the special work numbers “10”, “11”, “10” &“16” also on the underside of the barrel beneath the fore stock; double set triggers working at time of description, wood stocks are overall very good showing wear and old nicks and mars from carry and storage;accompanied with a factory letter dated June 15, 1994 signed by Dr. Moore indicating gun invoiced January 5, 1878, to Sharp’s Western and 2nd largest dealer, Ben Kittredge & Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio and confirms the caliber,

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
