This is a very good example of a G41 rifle as produced by the Berlin-Lubecker company. These rifles were produced early on in the production cycle of the G41/G43 series of semi-automatic rifles, before all production switched to the G43 series of rifles. The left side of the receiver is marked with the large "G41 duv 43, Eagle / 214" followed by the serial number 3614f. The stock is the correct wartime laminated model that is marked on the right side with a faint, double "Eagle 214" Waffenamt proof and a faint "Eagle 214" Waffenamt proof in the pistol grip area. The rifle is equipped with the brown phenolic resin (plastic) handguard as manufactured in 1941/42. This rifle was produced for only a couple of years using mostly machined and finely blue parts combined with some stamped sheet metal parts, and components, such as the barrel bands, trigger guard and magazine. The German Armaments Ministry switched later to the all rough cast and poorly machined G/K43 rifles that were far more reliable and easier to produce.

Grips:
Serial Number: 3614f
Condition: Very good as partially refinished (magazine box) with 40% of the faded original blue finish still remaining with the barrel band, triggerguard and buttplate browned out with the exposed front end cleaned of all the metal finish and the box magazine reblued. The stock and hand guard are very good with a nice original dark brown color, some minor handling marks on the sides. The buttstock has been lightly sanded, restrained and now is a dark matching color. The various stock proofs are faint. This rifle has all matching visible numbers.
