Manufactured from 1907 to 1915, this is a British proofed S&W First Model 44 Hand Ejector with the very desirable "triple lock" mechanism. The top of the barrel has the two line address with British proofs on the left side of the barrel and frame and alternating British proofs on cylinder. Cylinder and barrel shroud are numbered to the gun with the crane and frame cut-out having matching "1457" assembly numbers. Fitted with checkered S&W medallion grips.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 90% plus original high polish blue finish with high edge wear, grip straps thinning to a gray and some speckling of patina. There is some minor pitting (mostly on the back strap). The hammer and trigger retain half of the original case colors. The grips are very fine with a few minor handling marks and some wear in the overall crisp checkering.
