The receiver has nearly 90% of the original blue finish with most of the wear on the high points and edges and several minor scuff marks on the left side plate. The forend retains about 85% of the blue finish. The hammer has 85% or more of the casehardened finish with strong case colors. The finish on the loading lever and butt has faded to a silver patina. The folding peep sight has about 50% of the original blue finish. The loading gate has about 50% of the niter blue finish, indicating little use.
