Manufactured during WWII, this carbine with issued to the Canadian Pacific Coast Militia Rangers who watched the coast for any signs of invasion during the war. According to the consignor, the carbine was shipped from the Winchester factory on 9 July 1942. It has a full magazine, hooded ramp front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Single Canadian "C/broad arrow" markings are located on the right side of the receiver, forearm and buttstock. Standard barrel markings, with the factory proof on the barrel and receiver and the three line trademark information on the upper tang. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a shotgun buttplate, and canvas sling hand marked in ink "C.A. SMITH" (a barrel band featuring a sling swivel has been added to accommodate the sling).

Condition: Excellent. The barrel and magazine retain 99% original blue finish with some minor scratches. The receiver and lever retain 98% blue finish with a faint plum patina, with some minor scratches, limited pin point pitting and some scattered very light spotting. The buttplate has a smooth gray patina. The wood is excellent with scattered storage marks. The forearm has numerous scratches and some minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
