Dassa Signed and Factory Engraved F. LLI Pietta Model 1858 Remington New Model Army Percussion Revolver with Case

Manufactured in 2013. This example is a replica of the revolver presented to Major General George Meade for his victory at the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863. There is a generous amount of floral scroll engraving in the Nimschke style performed by the Dassa brothers of Italy. Signed on the butt "inc. Dassa". The Dassa brothers have engraved high end shotguns for Krieghoff and Beretta. The cylinder is gold plated with the barrel, loading lever, frame and grip straps nickel plated. The hammer and trigger are blue. Fitted with a set of smooth white plastic grips. This revolver was featured in the magazine "Guns of the Old West" (Fall of 2013 edition). The consignor states that it is a one off prototype. With the original plastic case numbered to the gun and a printout of the article.
