This is a post-WWI hunting/sporting rifle as produced by an unknown gunsmith, on a military style action. This rifle has a stepped military barrel with ramped front sight and two leaf (one folding) rear sight. The receiver is fitted with a D.R.G.M. scope with windage adjustment on the top and numbered "39810". Imperial proof and serial number on the left side of the receiver with "Gewehrfabria Danzig" on the left receiver wall. Double set triggers and mounted with a replacement one-piece walnut stock with Schnabel forearm, checkered round knob pistol grip, cheekpiece and steel shotgun buttplate. Complete with a contemporary military style leather sling.

Condition: Fine as custom made, the receiver which retains 90% of the custom rust blue finish with some minor pitting under the finish. The barrel retains 98% original blue finish with some muzzle wear. The bolt assembly has a smooth grayish patina with some strong blue finish in protected areas. The floor plate and trigger guard are a mix of original blue finish and smooth gray patina with a few light scratches and light spotting. The stock is good, with overall scattered minor dents, dings and scratches, and crisp checkering. The scope is very good with some minor pitting on the objective end, some minor normal usage wear and clear optics. The action is fine. The sling is very good.
