Creating beautiful oval bowls on the lathe requires particularly strong turning skills and the ability to focus, characteristics turner Dale Larson has in abundance. Made of carefully-selected figured madrone, this bowl is made to be used, and if properly cared for, will last many lifetimes.
"I simply like working with pretty wood. It brings balance to my life." --Dale Larson

Dale Larson has been turning wood for over 40 years. Located in Gresham, Oregon, Dale primarily turns bowls from local hardwoods such as Pacific madrone and Bigleaf maple. His work is both functional and beautiful and much admired by collectors and wood workers alike. His bowls can be found in private collections all over the world.

Dale often demonstrates his bowl and sphere turning at the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) Symposiums in the USA and the Ripon Symposium in England. He also teaches and publishes articles in several woodworking and woodturning publications, including American Woodturner. Dale is a founding member of the Portland area Cascade Woodturners and has been an active member of the AAW for many years. Created to be used.
