This is a DWM Model 1906 contract pistol with the "crown/M2" monogram over the chamber, the personal mark of King Manuel II of Portugal, elevated in 1908 and deposed in 1910. In addition to the crest it has three "circled triangle" army acceptance marks, on the left side of the receiver, the underside of the barrel, and the rear of the frame. The extractor is marked "CARREGADA", and the lower safety marking is milled off. Standard DWM monogram on the toggle and, except for the magazine, matching external numbers. With grip safety and nickel finished, alloy base magazine.

Condition: Very fine, with 60% plus of the original blue finish, showing areas of gray patina, scattered pitting, and mild handling marks. Straw colors remain 50% intact. Grips are good, with smooth wear patches overall and dents. Mechanically excellent. These Portuguese M2 Lugers are not usually found in this fine of condition!
