This is a unique example of a post WWI DWM Model 1920 Commercial L Luger pistol. The luger itself appears to be an early commercial rework, or at least a rebarrel, that was performed by the Simson factory. The left side of the barrel extension, has a small "su25" mark indicating a Simson commercial rework. This mark was used in the mid-late 1920s and would indicate when it was reworked/rebarreled into the 1920 style luger in the commercial 7,65 Luger caliber. In addition to those markings, there are several parts that have been paragraphed with either the full or at least the two digits of the serial number. The top of the chamber area is blank and the front toggle has the standard intertwined "DWM" logo. The left side of the breech block, under side of barrel and right side of the barrel extension have the standard "Crown/N" commercial proofs. The barrel and rear toggle assembly are fitted with standard front and rear fixed sights. It is complete with one nickel plated magazine with an unmarked wooden base. It has the rust blued metal finish with the straw colored small parts with checkered walnut grips.
