This is a very fine example of a desirable Swiss model 1906 military contract Luger pistol as produced by the DWM factory. It has the distinctive "Cross in Shield" crest on top of the chamber and DWM monogram on the front toggle. The extractor is correctly marked "GELADEN" and the safety area is correctly polished in the lower position with no markings. It has the distinctive fast taper barrel, grip safety, no stock lug, and flat toggles. It is correctly proofed with the Swiss cross on the barrel with the two Swiss proofs present on the left side of the barrel extension, along with a large "P 26" release stamp. The full serial number (6244) is stamped on the barrel and frame, with the partial serial number (44) on the various parts. The pistol is complete with one nickel plated magazine with an unmarked wooden base.
