DESIRABLE COLT PYTHON DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER WITH
ROYAL BLUE FINISH, 2 1/2" BARREL, BOX, & FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 357 MAG. S# V44667. Bbl 2 1/2". Python double action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1979. The left side of the barrel is stamped "PYTHON .357/ .357 MAGNUM CTG.", with Colt's 2 line address across the right side. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Metal components exhibit a lustrous blue finish, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece aftermarket Colt gold medallion checkered wood grips. Vent rib with serrated ramp front sight and adjustable square notch rear sight. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory letter indicating that this example was 1 of 2 revolvers featuring 2 1/2" barrels and "Royal Blue" finish that were shipped to West Texas Wholesale Supply in Abilene, TX on August 17th of 1979. Also accompanying this revolver is a matching Colt factory box containing its styrofoam insert and factory paperwork. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some mild superficial marks from handling and storage, as well as a mild dragline on the cylinder. Mirror bore, exhibiting some mild firing residue and well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good overall. Box shows some mild exterior wear, but otherwise is very good.
