Custom stocked Sako RIIHIMAKI 222 caliber bolt action rifle with factory 24" standard weight barrel, serial #46567 made in Finland. The stock is select walnut with a fine striped grain similar to Kentucky rifles.The checkering and shaping of the stock by a master gunsmith on custom ordered by Robert Petersen whose initials are inlayed into a gold plaque on the grip cap. The forend cap and grip cap are select hardwoods. Thebottom of the forend is flattened and shaping of the stock is possibly attributed to Leonard Mewes who was well known in Los Angeles in the 1950's & 60's and worked thru Kerr's and the Hollywood gun shop. The buttplate is a milled steel and the rifle shows studs for detachable sling swivel. The bolt is jeweled, the trigger worked and every attention to detail was made. Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
