Custom sheath knife marked Draper Ephraim, Utah, with finely made 5" thick steel blade, elephant ivory grips, brass mount with colored spacers originally inscribed "Herb Glass from Elmer Keith", with tooled leatherscabbard. This exact knife was sold by Little John's approximately 5 years ago for legendary Colt dealer Herb Glass who was our consigner. Glass was a contemporary of Elmer Keith and enjoyed his writings andlong-winded stories. Elmer Keith was internationally known for his shooting abilities, authorship of articles and books pertaining to guns, and his numerable exploits in the west; whereas he normallyconcluded a tale or began it with his legendary quote "Hell, I was there!". This knife fetched $9,000 at auction when last sold, in spirited bidding between our consigner and Robert Petersen, publisher of"Guns and Ammo", whom Keith had worked for over a period of nearly 30 years. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
