Custom rifle of finest quality signed “H. Walter- Nortoff” made on pre ’64 Model 70 action in 416 Rigby caliber produced by Nortoff for submission to gun makers guild in order to receive his Master gunsmiths titlein Germany. The rifle shows a 26” tapered octagon barrel with raised rib showing three leaf rear sight with gold inlaid lines. The action is finely scroll engraved and French gray finished with high relief engravedportrait of Cape buffalo on quick release floor plate. The engraving signed “Silke Schmidt”. The pistol grip cap is engraved to match with fancy gold initials at center “B.L.”. The rifle is stocked in finestquality select burl walnut with fancy grains selected for strength. The stock is beautifully made and masterfully checkered. The butt plate is skeleton type with checkered wood inset and engraved and satinfinished to match receiver.
