Custom big-game sporting rifle in 7mm Magnum caliber on Mauser Oberndorf action, serial #2842. Engraved on scope mounts and marked “J. Roberts & Son London”. The rifle shows 25” medium weight round barrel, graduatedfolding sights 100 to 300 yards, changeable aperture front sight, matte finish, scroll and game scene engraving. Detailed workmanship on metal throughout. Hand-engraved caliber marking on floorplate.Butt trap in pistol grip cap and other fine custom features including engine turning on bolt release and bolt. The gun is stocked in select grain light colored walnut with exotic wood forend cap and stylized cheekpiece. The rifle shows a long pistol grip and finely knurled and turned bolt. The stock measures 13-1/4” to the end of the wood, 14-1/4” to the end of the pad. The rifle is mounted with quick detachable scope releases and a CarlZeiss 4x32 power scope.
