The custom barrel is marked "A.O. NIEDNER / DOWAGIAC MICH" and is drilled and tapped with 12 holes for sight mounts. The nickel finished frame has the two line Marlin address/Ballard's patent marking on the left side, with the sides featuring a custom scroll engraving and engraved banners with inscriptions ("The Single Shot Exchange" on the left side, "Grand American Schuetzenfest / May 1995" on the right side). The frame is drilled for a tang sight mount behind the hammer. Double set triggers. With a Stevens Pope style palm rest included. Replacement nicely figured checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock fitted with a nickel finished Schuetzen style buttplate.

Condition: Custom embellished/finished. The barrel retains most of the high gloss blue finish which is taking on a purple hue with some minor muzzle wear and limited minor spotting. The action retains most of the nickel finish with some loss on the underside of the frame, along with some minor scratches. The buttplate has a slight frosty appearance, with some thinning along the edges. The wood is excellent with a few minor handling marks. The triggers need work.
