Manufactured in 1883 and subsequently custom embellished in the 20th century with the New York/Hartley style of engraving. The barrel, frame and top of the back strap are decorated with floral scroll and punch dot engraving. The sides of the front sight have the same design. The sides of the hammer and top strap have a feather design, with a zig-zag border on the hammer. The cylinder flats are decorated with alternating floral scroll and simple line designs over each chamber, as well as wavy line, dot and zig-zag patterns. The butt and trigger guard have a star burst and zig-zag design. The top of the barrel is marked with the short two line address with zig-zag border, the left side of the frame is marked with the three-line , three patent dates, the upper left front of the trigger guard is marked "45 CAL" and the matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel, trigger guard and back strap. All nickel finish and fitted with smooth pearl grips. The accompanying factory letter, the caliber, barrel length, nickel finish, with grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as I of 50 guns to Hartley & Graham, New York, New York on April 11, 1883.

Condition: Custom embellished with virtually all of the silver finish remaining, with some scattered mild frosting. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks. The markings and engraving are clear and crisp. The action is fine.
