A Wade tree saddle is a slick fork buckaroo style that is specifically built to be a working saddle. It's designed for handling livestock and for maximum comfort during long, strenuous hours in the saddle. Slick fork saddles otherwise known as A-fork saddles leave the front of the saddle open and provides comfort for long rides and freedom of movement for ranch work. This sample saddle would have been used to show off the countless options a saddle maker can contribute to the right custom saddle. showing the type of harness the stirrups and latigo keepers are attached to; this particular saddle sample also shows placement of saddlebags just above the skirt of the saddle even with where the layer of leather called the seat jockey would be. This saddle comes displayed on a small saddle stand. The measurements of this sample saddle are 8 1/2" long x 5" wide x 5 1/2" tall.
