Converted Lee-Enfield Bolt Action Rifle, #AC17325, .303 British cal., 18.75'' barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, modified blade front sight with protectors and military Mk1 rear sight. Originally mfg'd as a No. 4 Mk 1 at the British Maltby Arsenal. Markings removed from left side of receiver, stamped on left side of action body ''(Broad Arrow) M1943''. Marked on left side of barrel ''PRODUCED BY THE SANTA FE DIVISION OF GOLDEN STATE ARMS CORPORATION MODEL 1943 STANDARD''. Rifle has been converted to resemble a No. 5 Mk 1 ''Jungle Carbine'' by shortening the forend and handguard, and adding a No. 5 buttstock and partial front sight assembly. A shortened magazine is included marked ''SANTA FE'' in logo over ''MAGAZINE'' and ''MADE IN JAPAN''. Condition overall is very good with approx. 95% of a partially reblued finish remaining on the metal. Stock has a chip missing at the front band, otherwise wood is very good with an even clear refinish. Action is smooth, bore has darkening with very good rifling. Est.: $300-$400. (C&R)
