Continental Arms Company 5 shot pepper box derringer in .22 caliber rim-fire marketed as “Ladies Companion” and patented August 28, 1866. This particular specimen is one of the best known and retains approximately 95% to 98% original nickel with some slight losses at the edges and some minor pitting and erosion just starting were the nickel has lifted. The revolver shows super crisp edges and sharp patent dates on cylinder with near fine varnished rosewood grips retaining 90% plus original varnish just slight wear at the edges.
