Contemporary carved powder horn in American 18th century style showing a carved horn compartment in plug which hinges up to reveal compass and is decorated with the figure of a winged griffin and shows a commemorativedate of 1758. The top and bottom of horn show a band of decoration. The horn is signed "Cravener". The horn measures 13" across the curve and approx. 2-1/2" across plug in butt. Made last 50 years.Est.;$250-$500.
