Mixed woods as it was likely to have been made to be painted, turned knob finials, center slat backing, side posts turned almost like large spools, old replaced rush seat, pegged construction, the arms have a great splay out to them. This chair has character and was found years ago in Connecticut and would date to somewhere between 1820-40. The predominant wood is Poplar and there has been a most interesting age related shape to the frame that only adds to its appeal.

Fourth: Shipping. We will try and work with you on shipping. On small objects, we can pack them here with bubble wrap and UPS ship to you. Be forewarned, UPS charges extra to deliver to residences , and now with fuel charges up, surcharges are in effect. If is not possible to quote an exact rate until the item or items are boxed and weighed, or dimensional weight is determined.
