Confederate style wood canteen, possibly cedar with iron straps, tin spout, carved with name “J. E. Howerd”. The canteen measures 7-1/4” across the body, and is approx. 2-3/8” wide. Shows rust on bands and stays, and pewter spout shows iron nails that are also rusty. The body of the canteen shows some opening and warpage from age. Nice patina. If this canteen is not confederate, nothing is. It sings Dixie and smells like southern comfort. Est: $750 - $1,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
