This is a nice example of an early 1920 Krieghoff commercial upper receiver group that has been assembled on to a standard WWI era type military frame or receiver. The right side of the barrel extension has a very unusual early circled "HK" commercial proof mark with a typical Krieghoff commercial barrel. The top rear end of the barrel is dated "1938" in small numbers while the underside of the barrel is marked with the early commercial serial number of "13704" along with a single Commercial N proof mark. The front toggle has the typical "DWM" logo, and the complete upper barrel and barrel extension group are all matching, with the serial number "04" on the various small parts. The lower receiver (serial numbered 7504d) as noted is a standard WWI military frame with the polished insides with a hold open catch installed and a rust blued finish. The trigger, side plate, and takedown lever are mismatched. The Luger doesn't have any acceptance or firing proofs and is fitted with a set of thick checkered walnut grips. Complete with a post war all blued milled luger magazine with the aluminum base that is numbered in the police fashion with a single "1" /7949.
