The lot features a beaded Southern Plains medicine pouch from the Comanche American Indians of Northern Texas and dating to the 19th Century. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide which is sinew sewn and shows nice early pony glass trade beads in chalk white, Cheyenne pink and semi-transparent green in a traditional geometric pattern. The outside of the bag shows a complete row of Indian tanned hide long fringe and a fancy beaded top border. The beadwork is only shown on the front. Measures overall 10.5”L by 3.5”W.
