Colt model 1911A1 .38 super, semi-automatic pistol, serial #152675. Finely engraved gold and silver inlaid in classic American big game and western scenes, blued finish, smooth ivory grips. The Colt shows a horse drawn stagecoach on top forward of barrel in gold and silver, raised relief inlays. The rear of the slide shows a Western scout on horseback. The left front of slide shows a mountain lion or cougar in high relief or sterling inlay with Colt horse logo behind .38 super automatic legend or address. The bottom front of frame shows a silver antelope in high relief. The instrap shows a big horn sheep at center portion in high relief silver. The right rear of slide shows a gold-inlaid fawn in high relief. The forward of slide shows a bobcat stalking this fawn. The relief inlays are surrounded by well-executed foliate scrolls which are D+ in coverage. The pistol itself is a combination of prewar and postwar .38 super parts. The barrel, bushing, small parts, are all postwar, the frame is prewar. The pistol retains approx. 98-99% deep blued finish restored at time of embellishment. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
