Colt model 1911 government model, US property marked, .45 ACP caliber in very good plus to near fine original as-issued condition, shipped to Springfield Armory, June 2nd, 1917, 1 of 1,000 guns in shipment, serial#155722. The Colt retains approx. 85-95% original blue, thinning slightly on the inner grip strap and drifted on the mainspring housing to light grey patina. There is some slight high point and edge loss, otherwisethe blue is very bright and completely original. The grips are also very good plus, markings sharp, edges crisp, the barrel is very good plus.
