Colt model 1877 lightning storekeeper’s model, double-action .38 caliber revolver with factory 3-1/2” barrel, made without ejector rod housing, nickel finish, hard-rubber grips, serial #12421 with oldpocket holster and deputy Sheriff badge. The Colt remains in very good to near fine condition with 80-90% original nickel, drifting on the edges of muzzle and gripping areas. There is some light erosion andpinprick pitting where nickel has lifted. The etched panel is fully visible with frosting and some slight wear at the edges. The markings are sharp and crisp. The trigger and back of hammer show bright original blue.The front sight is its fully height. The knurled cylinder pin is unmolested. The grips are very good, the action is good, the bore is very good. The wallet holster is marked Audley with patent date 1908. There is aAllen Bros Boston stamped brass deputy Sheriff’s badge attached that is well worn through the nickel to the brass, and has been polished and the catch repaired with solder and a safety pin.
