Colt model 1861 Navy revolver conversion to .38 center-fire, nickel plated with wood grips, serial number 780. The revolver shows a gray to brown patina finish with approximately 20% to 30% original nickel still remaining. There is some scattered light to slightly heavy pitting and erosion. The barrel address and patent markings on frame are good and legible. The grips show two large chips and wear at the toes and edges. All matching visible serial numbers with no number on the cylinder. The front sight has been slammed way down and the front of the muzzles has been crowned. The action is good and the bore is fair. The conversion is the Richards Mason type with no patent dates on the frame. Est.: $700-$1,400.
