Colt model 1860 army .44 caliber percussion revolver, 8” barrel, grey patina finish, cartouche wood grips, serial #54460. The metal surfaces have gone to a grey patina with faint traces of case hardening whereprotected. There is some scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The metal surfaces are generally good and the address is crisp and legible. The cylinder shows 30-50% light cylinder scene. The gripsare very good plus and show two well-defined cartouches, just a couple of small nicks, a chip from the inside right toe, and the bottom of the grips have been neatly cut to run a lanyard loop over the backstrap on each side of the grips. The action is tight, the bore is very good, all matching serial numbers with many small inspectors initials. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection. Est: $1,400 - $2,800
