Colt model 1860 army, .44 caliber percussion, 8” barrel, late civilian series, no cut for shoulder stock in frame or backstrap. Patina finish with traces of blue and case hardening, varnish wood grips, serial#189894, in a range where a factory letter may be available. The revolver shows a slight trace of blue and case hardening within its patina with some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. There is someblue still visible beneath the ramrod. The cylinder shows 20-40% cylinder scene with some engagement dates showing on front edge. The frame, hammer, and loading lever show traces of case hardening within a smoky greypatina. The varnish wood grips are good, slightly undersized from wear, some dings, mars, small losses, at least good overall. All matching visible serial numbers, tight action, sharp bore.
