Colt model 1860 army, .44 caliber percussion, 4-screw variation, barrel shortened to 2-1/2” during period of use with bead type front-sight added. No grips, brown patina finish, serial #17640. The revolver shows “A” inspections and is in good condition with traces of original finish and cylinder scene. There is some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. From the aging it looks as if the pistol was used with the grips off. Whichwould flatten the profile if it was used as an inside-the-coat belly gun. All matching visible serial numbers.
