Colt model 1851 Navy revolver, U.S. martially marked, blue and case hardened finish, cartouche wood grips, serial #80742. The barrel shows approx. 60-80% military blue finish that is evenly drifting and toningwith some slight scratches, minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The cylinder shows 30-50% toning blue finish with sharp engagement dates, 90% plus cylinder scene, crisp edges, and all of its original cylinder pins. The frame and hammer show 50-70% case hardening drifting to patina with some normal aging and some good colors just aging naturally. The ramrod shows 30-50% case hardening going to patina. The grips are very good with some small dings, mars, scratches, showing “CGC” cartouche just slightly light on left, and “WAT” cartouche fully visible on right, with just a couple of nicks through it. The revolver shows a full complement ofmilitary inspection marks on barel, cylinder, backstrap, triggerguard. Frame shows “U.S.” All matching visible serial numbers, good action, bright bore.
