Colt early 2nd model Dragoon, .44 caliber percussion, 7-1/2” barrel, civilian series, brown patina finish, wood grips, serial #8722. The pistol shows “V” type mainspring and is in good to very good condition showing a smooth brown patina finish and approx. 20-40% original light cylinder scene. Model USMR and Colt’s Patent mostly visible. The edges are good, the barrel address is sharp. The grips show initials “L.M.” carved on left and are in good condition with even wear, some small dings, mars, and scratches, and are at least good to very good. All matching visible serial numbers. Wedge is unnumbered but correct type, bore is good to very good.Just some normal erosion and minor aging. The pistol is generally very good overall, just some slight marring of one frame screw and an old replacement trigger. A far better than average 2nd model with a pleasing anduntouched appearance with considerable original scene. Est: $3,500 - $7,000
