Colt Woodsman .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol with factory 6 ½” barrel showing odd stud at rear of frame for attachment of shoulder stock. Serial number 820. Made in 1915 during 1st year of production. Thepistol retains 90% to 95% original high polish early blue finish with some minor scratches, slight losses at the edges. The blue finish is very inky and still bright. The Colt shows early barrel address andrampant Colt marking on rear of slide. There is a Y proof at the rear of the trigger guard and the quality of the stock lug and matching blue finish lead us to believe it to be a factory experimental feature. The grips are in very good plus to near fine condition with just some slight edge wear. The action is tight and the bore is bright showing just normal use. A two-tone Colt marked clip is retained.
