Colt Wells Fargo variation of 1849 pocket model in .31 caliber percussion with factory 3” barrel and no provision for ramrod. Serial number 104254. The revolver remains in very good original condition with approximately20% to 40% original blue and case hardening mixing with a patina finish. There is some minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. There are some nicks and mars on the right side of the barrel lug from removal of wedge. The cylinder shows 80% to 90% crisp original stagecoach scene. All matching visible serial numbers including wedge. The grips show 80% to 90% original varnish and are very good plus to near fine with veryminor imperfections. The trigger guard and backstrap show 75% to 85% original silver that is darkening and uncleaned. The markings are sharp and edges are crisp, the bore is very good. A far better than average andoriginal Wells Fargo variation. Est.: $3,500-$7,000.
