Colt U.S. martial SAA revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips with inspector cartouches on each side, #137187, R.A.C. inspected. This gun is in overall very good condition showingtraces of original blue in protected areas of the barrel, trigger guard, cylinder and frame with balance gone to a grey patina; very good bore, crisp action, some scattered spots of pitting and erosion limitedprimarily to the barrel; sharp markings, fine grips with two complete inspector’s cartouches on the grips and dated 1881 (serial number is in N.Y. Militia range); RAC inspected on bottom of left grip, bottom ofbarrel, above frame serial number and rear side area of cylinder. A nice martial single action Colt that should be further researched.
