Manufactured in 1918, this pistol is one of 4,150 pistols shipped to the Ordnance Depot, Bush Terminal, Brooklyn N.Y. on June 6, 1918. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block 1897-1913 patent dates and address with the Rampant Colt in the center, the left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and has the "eagle head / S8" inspection mark above the magazine release. The rear of the slide is marked "H" above the firing pin and the right side is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY", with the serial number on the right side of the frame behind the slide stop. Smooth trigger, checkered slide stop, thumb safety, magazine release and wide spur hammer. Standard lower profile fixed sights, lanyard loop on the heel, two tone unmarked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips with diamond pattern around the screws.
